The Airbus A380, designed and built by Airbus, is the largest passenger airliner in history.

The plane, often called superjumbo made its first test flight on April 27, 2005, took off at Toulouse, France, and landed at the airport in Singapore, Southeast Asia, after 12 hours of flight.

The A380 took more than ten years to develop and cost about 12,000 euros (U.S. $ 35.1 billion).

The plane has a length equivalent to that of eight London buses and a space on the wings would be enough to park 70 cars. Represents a new era in business travel and a challenge to Boeing in the battle for the world market.

The Airbus in partnership with Rolls Royce manufactures the four mega turbines that generate enough power to put this plane in the air at all, is also mega.

The first airline to operate commercial flights with this aircraft was the mega Singapore Airlines from Singapore. The giant airplane, which made its maiden flight - commercially speaking - in late April 2010, and was the main star of the Paris Air Show, international aviation, held at Le Bourget airfield on the outskirts of Paris (France .)

The debut of the giant Brazilian airports took place on December 10, 2007 at the International Airport of Guarulhos in Sao Paulo, from Buenos Aires where she performed the Aerolineas Argentinas has acquired three aircraft. On the first day of the visit, it was shown the interior of the A380 for guests, and leaving all stunned passengers and officials from the International Airport of Guarulhos (GRU).

Several airlines already make commercial use of the Airbus A380 including: Emirates, Lufthansa, Qantas, Air France and British Airways. These airlines, which also make use of the Airport of Guarulhos shown interest in operating it on its routes to Brazil, but will require changes in the structure of the boarding gates and passenger terminals, taxi on runways and fingers used for shipment and disembarking passengers and crew.
