The Highest Waterfall - Angel Falls
The Angel Falls is the tallest waterfall in the world with a total of 979 meters and a huge leap straight of 807 meters. It is located in the Canaima National Park, Venezuela.
The first to discover the giant waterfall was Ernesto de Santa Cruz in 1912, but heannounced his discovery.
It remained unknown until 1933, when the pilot Jimmy Angel saw her first. On his return to the region in 1937, the pilot damaged his plane on a landing attempt, and he, his wifeand two traveling companions were forced to walk down the mountain. They took 11 days to get back to civilization and the adventure became famous around the world.Since then, the waterfall known as "Angel Falls".
The falls are located in Rio Kerep which runs until the Rio Churun and belong to theCanaima National Park.
Before the main fall - the largest in the world without interupção - the waterfall cascadeshave bowed, followed by a fall of less than 30 meters. Only then spend the water 807 meters from a flat plateau known as Auyan-Tepui (Devil's Mountain).
The area around Angel Falls is known for its particular beauty - a myriad of plants and flowers is near the plateau, including the yellow and orange lantana, the Glory violet, mimosa-colored pink and many types of orchids and bromeliads.
Even the weather is affected by near Angel Falls. Due to the enormous height of fall,wind gusts create a massive fog and water droplets scatter around the plateau, and therain mixed with cascading water falls can create extra waterfall.
